Why a Blog

The purpose of this blog is to act as a method to track iterative progress as I hopefully embark on many personal projects that I want to pursue or have started but never finished. Since I am recently transitioning into full-time work with no official academic pursuits, this will keep me accountable as I aim to contribute consistent posts each month among various different topics and interests that I have. I have become fond of documentation on very technical subjects as it allows me to truly understand topics at a much higher level. Explaining technical subjects to audiences that you assume are not familiar with the subject-matter comes with an additional level of understanding to be able to successfully break down concepts. To be honest, even building the blog itself was a task in which I had learned a lot. I had to investigate, plan, and make decisions as to how the website would look and function from an administration perspective. I was able to refresh on various front-end skills, and learn more about the quirks of Next.js, and implement various different UI components with the help of headless libraries. With each blog I hope to have a log of what I had learned and to check off micro-goals, and to allow for healthy dopamine responses to the amount of effort I am putting towards myself. I have come to believe that imposter syndrome that many in tech report is just a constant need of gratification to improve one's self, and through a "kaizen" or continuous improvement approach I can quench this need in a healthy manner.

Technical Subjects

The technical subjects will hopefully focus around 3 main categories

  • CyberSecurity
  • Hardware
  • Software

Obviously this is a very high-level description but I think that due to my ambitions and interests these categories alongside the interplay between them all seem to encompass all thee interests that I see myself exploring in this blog. From time to time I will look into also doing some additional personal blogs that might not necessarily be technical. I also think there could be some mathematical subjects that could potentially be touched but usually with some certain application towards the Cyber but we will see.

Collaboration

Depending on how the blog goes, I can see some collaborative efforts being needed. I have already planned for this as the blog supports multiple author's and respective profiles to showcase who they are and what they do.

Hopeful Takeaways

I hope that I can look back on the blog proud that I fulfilled my potential, and pushed myself to the best of my ability. If I am able to stay consistent with this it can further drive myself to continued success, growth, and learning and help me reach all my dreams and aspirations.
